When building DFS lineups, the first thing we look at is the Vegas game totals, so that we can target players that are projected to be in the highest scoring games - which gives us the best probability of rostering some of the highest scoring Fantasy Football players in a given week. The highest projected totals for the main slate of Week 10 are: Buffalo and Arizona at 55.5 points, Seattle and Los Angeles Rams at 54.5, Denver and Las Vegas at 51, Tampa Bay and Carolina at 50.5, And San Francisco and New Orleans at 49 points.
Quarterbacks
Hot Plays:
Kyler Murray $8000
Murray is everything that Lamar Jackson was supposed to be this year and more. Kyler Murray through 8 games has more yards than Lamar did at this point in his 2019 MVP season and 8 more touchdowns. Again, he finds himself in the projected highest scoring game on the slate and he has everything to do with that projection. Play Kyler Murray in cash.
Kyle Allen $7500
On the other side of the projected shootout in Arizona is Josh Allen. Fresh off of his big performance in Week 9 - when he was 2nd for all Quarterbacks on Draft Kings with 36 points - Josh Allen finds himself in another great match-up against Arizona. His running ability + the need to score a lot of points to keep pace with Murray and the Cardinals make Allen a great cash play in the Week 10 DFS main slate.
Jared Goff $6500
The other higher scoring game on the main slate is Los Angeles vs Seattle. The Seattle secondary has been one to target every week and with Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods to pick them apart with, Goff finds himself in a great matchup and his potential owners a little bit of salary relief at $6500. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Goff in the Milli maker winning lineup
Other Hot plays:
Russell Wilson $7700
Justin Herbert $6500
Deshaun Watson $6900
Dive Plays:
Drew Lock $5600
A Lock/Jeudy stack was locked into the Milli maker winning lineup last week, so you could do a lot worse than playing Lock again at $5600 in what looks to be one of the highest scoring games on the slate. he's averaged 32 points in his last two games and has another good matchup against Las Vegas this week.
Tua Tagovailoa $5600
There's not much to this Dive Play except that the Chargers have allowed 31 points per game for their last 5 games, so at $5600 with an underrated defense, Tua could provide great value if he follows up his 27 point performance from the prior week.
Running Backs
Hot Plays:
Aaron Jones $7100
With no CMC or Davlin Cook on the main slate, AaronJones is sure to be chalky at his price, as he currently projects to be about 31% owned. However, the matchup is perfect as Jacksonville is at the bottom of the league against the Run. With a high game total, wind, and a large point spread, all signs point to Jones being a smash spot.
James Robinson $6600
Normally we don't recommend rostering RB's with in a game where they're projected to be big underdogs, but Jacksonville doesn't have much of a choice other than to feed James Robinson the ball with a backup QB and Shenault being out. It's a good matchup for Robinson and the volume will be there.
Miles Sanders $6400
He is healthy, and in a great spot against the 21st ranked run Defense. The talent is there, the Eagles are favored, and the smart thing to do would be to limit the Wentz turnovers (Ball Wentz to the other team) with their highly talented RB returning from injury.
Other Hot Plays:
Alvin Kamara $8200
James Conner $6900
Josh Jacobs $6500
Dive Plays:
Mike Davis $4000
This is purely a value play for me. If his salary was over $6000 where it was before CMC returned, I'd totally fade Davis as he hasn't been that impressive lately. However, 10-15 points at his salary will do it. Set it and forget it in cash.
Duke Johnson $5000
He's looking to be chalky at 24% ownership, but with David Johnson out and him taking the bellcow role, his 15 projected points will provide the 3X we'd be happy with.
J.D. Mckissick $4900
A complete punt here with Mckissick now that Gibson is expected to play but he got 14 targets in week 9 when Captain Checkdown Alex Smith came into the game. He's a GPP Dart.
Wide Receivers Hot Plays:
Cooper Kupp/Robert Woods $6900/$6600
This week, Seattle is even more thin at Corner than most weeks and they've been horrible in the secondary. Your lineups should have a combination of both Kupp/Woods in them and to a lesser degree, Josh Reynolds would be a great GPP play as well in a double/triple stack.
Stefon Diggs $7500
Sure he'll probably get the Patrick Peterson treatment, and maybe John Brown is the better play but Diggs is seeing 30% of the targets in the offense and he has the speed to burn Peterson for a long score. I'll roll the dice with Diggs and alternate Brown into some of my Allen Stacks.
Lockett $6500
Will Ramsey shadow Metcalf or not? He said no but why would they show their hand? If Ramsey follows Metcalf around, I'm going Lockett. Regardless, Lockett and Metcalf have alternated a lot back and forth as they're not positively correlated with one another, so my guess is Lockett is in for a bigger week playing out of the Slot with Ramsey potentially covering DK.
Other Hot Plays:
Davante Adams $9000
DK Metcalf $7600
Michael Thomas $7400
Jerry Jeudy $5600
Will Fuller $6700
Brandin Cooks $5600
Dive Plays:
John Brown $5300
Limit some exposure to Diggs and avoid the Peterson matchup by playing a much cheaper John Brown in what projects as a high scoring game.
Jakeem Grant $3000
The perfect cash punt for a guy who looks to fill the Preston Williams role in the Miami offense. Coming off of a 5 target game, you could do much worse than Grant at $3000 here.
Josh Reynolds $3500
He's seen 8 and 9 targets in his last two games with a touchdown, and 15, 8 points respectively. If you're doing a GPP Stack of the SEA/LAR game and Reynolds isn't in some of your lineups, what are you doing?
Tight Ends
Hot Plays:
Darren Waller $5900
This is kind of hypocritical as I said on the Fantasy Fling Podcast that Waller is a bit overrated because the Tight End position has been so horrible in Fantasy Football, but generally the Broncos struggle to cover tight ends and this is projected to be a high scoring affair, so I'm rolling with Waller this week in Cash.
Rob Gronkowski $4700
This is a get right spot for the Buccaneers this week against Carolina after being embarrassed last week, so the points have to go somewhere. Gronk at $4700 figures to be a decent play as he was making a regular appearance as a top 5 scoring tight end before last week.
Evan Engram $4500
The Eagles love giving up points to the tight end and Engram has seen about 10 targets a game recently and is finally producing. This could be a smash spot for him.
Dive Plays:
Austin Hooper $3900
Missing 2 games and then a bye week have Hooper at low projected ownership but he was solid before that and now OBJ is gone so he has more opportunity for an even bigger workload.
Dallas Goedert: $4200
Goedert is healthy and likely forgotten about. If he's back to his 6-8 targets per game, this could really pay off if one of those targets is in the redzone.
