Stacking

Stafford - 26.98

OBJ - 19.10

Henderson - 17.30

Total - 63.38

AVG - 21.12

Fournette 47.10

Gronkowski - 22.30

Total - 69.40

AVG - 34.70

Waddle - 31.70

Dolphins - 23

Anderson - 2.50

Total - 57.20

AVG - 19.06

After week 11 when a Cam/Tremble stack took down the Milli Maker, this one was a nice return to normalcy. We had 3 stacks that combined for 189 points across 8 positions. The Dolphins stack was the second most impressive here with Waddle and Dolphins D averaging 27.35 points. This lineup had a lot more potential if Anderson had been left out of this stack and a better similarly priced player was chosen. However, with the top mini stack of Fournette and Gronkowski totaling almost 70 points, this stack really got this lineup into the nuts producing 5.99X.

Stacking is the most probable way to have a high player FPTS average in order to have a high enough ceiling to bink a tournament like the Milli Maker, but only works when the Stacks hit as well as the one offs like it did in this lineup with Mixon.

Roster %

Stafford - 3.46%

Mixon - 11.75%

Fournette - 3.65%

Beckham - 8.52%

Waddle - 6.43%

Anderson - 3.38%

Gronk - 36.35%

Henderson - 14.17%

Dolphins - 3.8%

Total - 91.51%

After last’s week super low overall ownership percentage of 28%, this was also a return to normalcy at 91%. Most weeks we see the total ownership percentage in the 90s so this was within the median.

Leverage

Fournette - Fournette was the highest scoring player on the slate and came in at 3.65% owned. He was huge leverage on chalky backs like Robinson at 25% owned and direct leverage off of Jonathan Taylor at 12.84% owned, Godwin, Evans, and Pittman in the TB/IND game who all came in between 10-25% ownership and vastly underperformed projections.

Waddle - Waddle was the highest scoring WR on the slate and came in at 6.43% ownership in the milli maker. He was leverage off of chalkier options like Pittman, Samuel, Godwin, Cooks, Moore, and Aiyuk.

Dolphins - Miami’s DST was the highest scoring DST on the slate and the highest performance from a fantasy points per dollar perspective at over 8X! Furthermore, they were great leverage on the field by being only 3.80% owned and provided leverage off the chalkier options like the Texans at 33%, Jaguars at 15%, and Patriots at 9.85%.

Pricing

$7500 Mixon - 4.70X

$7100 Stafford - 3.8X

$6800 Fournette - 6.92X

$5900 Waddle - 5.37X

$5800 Henderson - 2.98X

$5000 OBJ - 3.82X

$4700 Anderson - .53X

$4400 Gronk - 5.06X

$2800 Dolphins - 8.21X `

Total $50,000 - 4.59X

Every week in the Milli Maker we’ve seen at least one position that produced 6X their salary. Well this lineup had 2 and one that produced 8X! Fournette Produced 6.92X and the Dolphins DST produced 8.21X - an average of 7.5X. That’ll get you there even with Anderson’s low .53X.

Ceiling

The last thing we look at when constructing a large field GPP tournament is does it have the kind of ceiling to get there? Well obviously each Mili Maker winner does, but when building YOUR Milli Maker lineup builds, it’s important to scan the players in your lineup and see if they have the kind of Ceiling to get you there. This is where blending stacks and core one offs is important.

For example, you’re generally not expecting Waddle to get there alone but when Stacking him with the Dolphins Defense and Anderson, you have a strong belief that the Dolphins can push the pace by scoring Touchdownds, (through Waddle) creating turnovers, and still forcing the Panthers to pass. Together the 3 have the ceiling needed for the stack to get there, but you aren’t comfortable playing Robby Anderson by himself, for example.

Finally, when looking at game theory, you’re banking on Mixon and Fournette shouldering the load for high scoring offense. Fading the chalk, playing Fournette, and hoping all the scoring goes through him for a slate breaking score. That’s exactly what happened here when Mixon and Fournette combined for almost 80 points - exactly the reason why RB’s don’t need to be correlated in stacks.

With 3 stacks that combined for 189 points and a one off of Mixon that provides 35+ points, that’s how you win the Milli Maker. This lineup in the Milli Maker winning build for Week 12 certainly got it done. Will Week 13 be the same? Be sure to check out Makin A Milli to as we preview the Milli Maker for Week 13.
